South of The City

South of the City

South of The City are an unlikely bunch from all walks of life who met a few years ago in a pub in Guildford, Surrey. Some of us wanted to write great new songs. Some of us wanted to play a new style of country - British country. Some of us wanted to order from the food menu. Despite this, the band carried on rehearsing some songs and found that actually, they quite liked each other's company and gelled musically A year on, and the Band set off on the road to gigging and since then have been performing their original material all over the place, mainly with consent.

Me and The Moon

Guildford based four piece ‘Me and The Moon’ write original and catchy Indie-Pop. They have just self-released their first EP ‘Run with Wolves EP‘. The EP has been well received with the opening track ‘Hold on’ being featured as BBC Introducing’s ‘Track of the Day’.

Reviews have already started popping up online from around the globe. “The band’s sound is like a lighter, poppier version of Florence + The Machine with a terrific melody and fine harmonies”(- The Revue, Canada). The band consists of Vocals from Tamara Jane, Guitar and backing vocals from Jonny Elstone, Bass from Yani De Jesus Patel and Alex Archer on Drums.

The quartet are currently playing around the country (with past dates including Victorious Festival 2015) and are busy writing new material.

Backwoods Creek are a 7-piece band based in Guildford, where they met in music college. These guys are talented, young, driven and determined and are just starting to resound on the UK country scene where they are actively gigging around London and the home counties.

Backwoods Creek have created a genuine country sound that should resonate with fans of old and new country alike. They released their debut EP Stories From The Dirt Roads in April.

The Sheratones

Indie/ Pop/ Rock n Roll/ influenced 4 piece band from Woking town. Matching up razor sharp riffs, melodic vocals and rhythmic grooves to create a sound reminiscent of the best of British rock and pop from the 50's to present. The Sheratones were described by James Chappell of Get Surrey as "Woking Rockers" with an "anarchic Arctic Monkeys-esque sneer."

The boys' first EP "If You're Hearts Not In It" is set to be released in July on itunes and Spotify so watch this space!
