Sustainability
FOSStival is about musical education for the next generation of musicians and music fans, and as such we want to look after the planet too.
This year we're committing to reduce waste, eliminate single-use plastics wherever possible, and to produce an event that leaves the countryside as beautiful as we found it.
So... we won't be serving drinks in disposable glasses this year, and we've asked our suppliers and partners to help us to cut out plastics wherever possible. When you're at FOSStival you can pay a deposit to borrow a re-usable plastic glass, or you can buy a souvenir metal drinks-holder to take home and remember us by.
If you've already got something suitable then we'd love you to bring your own drinks container - just please remember that we can't have glass on-site for safety reasons.
By reducing plastic wrappers, glasses, cutlery and so on, we're reducing waste on the day, but we ask you to please dispose of your litter responsibility. And if you have any suggestions on how we can reduce our environmental impact even more for next year, please let us know - we'd love to go above and beyond expectations in hosting a fun, feel-good and sustainable festival for all the family.
